You’ve got a free half hour during your work day. What do you do?
Unfortunately it’d be cleaning the toilets, going to the supermarket or hanging out washing. I have two young children to feed and clean up after!
Who, or what, is your biggest inspiration?
Hard to pick just one but in a professional sense, I love the work of Lynne Truss (she wrote Eats Shoots and Leaves). She is a true punctuation goddess!
What’s the best bit of feedback you’ve ever had?
Since I’ve started my own business, clients who say I’ve managed to put into words the concepts they were trying to express. And nice comments on my blog, Laundry Room.
What talent do you most wish you possessed?
Singing – and dancing. My family cringe in physical pain whenever they hear/see me doing either.
What star sign are you? Do you believe in horoscopes?
Cancer. Depends what the star sign says – if it’s relevant to my life at that time, then of course I believe in it… if it doesn’t apply, then it’s a load of rubbish!
What music are you listening to at the moment?
Les Miserables. I just finished reading the book and love the music.
What book are you reading?
So Many Selves by Gabrielle Carey (co-author of Puberty Blues)
What actor/actress would play the lead in the story of your life?
Winona Ryder; all we have in common is that we are brunettes.
If you could pick anyone to be your personal assistant, who would it be and why?
Stephen Fry. I have such a crush on him, unrealistic and impossible as it is!
If you could improve one thing about your work, what would it be?
More discipline, less procrastination, more confidence. Whoops, that’s three.
Can you stop at just one chocolate biscuit/savoury snack?
Never.
